Top 10 Black Movies Of The 90s

From time to time, I get together with family and friends and inevitably we end up talking about our all time favorite movies. While these conversations spark much debate (sometimes quite heated), we ultimately agree upon a list that works well for most everyone. But, before we create a list, we come up with a brief list of guidelines that each movie must meet to make the cut.

Today's top 10 movie list has four requirements: 1) released in the 90s, 2) has a predominately black cast, 3) was a refreshing or new type of storyline at the time of release, and 4) had a good soundtrack. Now I'm sure this list will likely spark some discussion because one of your favorites was not included, so please leave a comment with justification for inclusion below and maybe the list will get revised.
